DIRECTORY & LISTING WORDPRESS BLOCKS IN CITADELA DIRECTORY PLUGIN
Directory Items List
Display items on any page. Choose layout and size of the items, then set filters to show only items you want according to category and/or location.
You’ll need a Google API key in order to display Google maps on your website. Once added, you can display items of your choice on the map.
Directory Search Form
The function of the Directory Search Form block is to search directory items. It is possible to search by keyword, category and location. You can use geolocation to set the radius from your actual position. Precise search is available using the advanced filter icon directly in the search form. This block can be used on any page as a standalone block or as a part of the map.
Directory Categories List
Display categories on any page to help your web visitors better orientate on your website. You can choose which information to show/hide, filter the categories or turn on a carousel of selected categories.
Directory Locations List
Similar to Categories List and Items List, WordPress block Directory Locations list is also packed up with settings and options to display only information you want or filter locations.
Directory Search Results
Displays search results on Special Page with identical name: “Directory Search Results.” Settings let you choose between box or list layout, set the ordering, pick displayed details and much more.
OpenStreetMap with GPX tracks
Great alternative to Google map is OpenStreetMap which you can configure within Directory Map block. Filter displayed items by category or location and choose the predefined color scheme. There’s also an option to upload and display GPX tracks to display paths & trails.
Blog Posts on Map
In case a blogpost you’ve written is connected to a certain location, you can add GPS/address to it and then display it on the map using Directory Map (for posts) block. How great is that?
Posts Search Results
Similar to Directory Search Results, Post Search Results is used on Special Page to display posts found by “Posts Search Form” using category, location or keyword.
One of the key parts of a good listing site is certainly honest reviews posted by your customers. This feature lets you add star rating and a comment to any item you allow reviews on. You can enable reviews in Citadela Directory plugin under the tab “Item Reviews.” You can even set the color of the stars in star ratings. Average rating is calculated automatically and is displayed under the title of the listed item.
Use this block on Item Detail Page (one of the Special Pages) and let your web visitors get directions (navigate) from their location to the item location.
In the beginning, you’ll be creating a basic list of businesses on your website to get the ball rolling. Once your site gets more popular, business owners will want to claim the listing as their own and manage it in their administration. That’s what Claim Listing is for. You can enable it in Citadela Directory plugin under the “Claim Listing” tab.
Extend your items with more information. You can predefine custom fields of several available types. You can divide your data between several Item extension Blocks and place them on different places of Item detail page with different layouts.
Filters for more precise search. Block uses item extension inputs as data. Highly customizable with grouping and togling abilities. Available on Search results, Category and Location pages.
If directory item belongs to multiple categories, you can choose one featured category. The icon and name of the featured category will be used on the map, search results and items list.
Gutenberg editor on Directory item
You can use any Gutenberg block you like INSIDE the directory item. Here’s just a small example of what you can do inside a directory item:
- create a gallery
- add a price table
- insert multiple maps
- use any 3rd party block
You can still use a directory item special page, but now you have an option to overwrite these settings. This way, you can create different looking item detail pages for each item.
We love this feature as now you can work with items like WordPress pages or posts.
Automatically generated Special Pages
For your convenience, all these Special Pages are generated automatically by Citadela WordPress directory plugin. You will find them in your wp-admin under “Citadela Special Pages,” on your left hand side. Feel free to look through them and redesign them the way you like. You can add new blocks, reorder existing ones – just like on other pages.
Create and promote subscription packages on your website to earn money. Thanks to Citadela Directory subscriptions, your web visitors – business owners – can subscribe to your website or purchase a listing plan and manage their own listings. You can decide if you want to collect one time fee or create a listing plan with recurrent payments linked to renewal period of days, weeks or months. Payments & purchases are managed with WooCommerce.
Wait, there’s more…
Item owners can manage their own listings via simplified WordPress administration interface. Their WordPress user role will be “Subscriber” and they’ll have their own Item Posts to look after. You can define their permissions and adjust their admin section. Choose a color scheme, background image and much more.
